Transformers Unicron Throughout The Years

Fanatics of Transformers well remember Transformers: The Movie, that followed on the heels of the hugely successful kid’s cartoon from the eighties. Equally as unforgettable for the Transformers audience is the super-villain from the cartoon motion picture, Unicron, the eater of planets. The “Original” Unicron –

Ever since the 2nd season of the Transformers animated tv series ended, creators of Transformers: The Movie desired a new “bad guy” to carry Transformers to another level. The answer turned out to be a huge, planet-sized dangerous robot known as Unicron.

In the storyline of Transformers: The Movie, Unicron offered the defeated Decepticon commander, Megatron, brand new forces and a completely new body so as to enact Megatron’s vengeance on Optimus Prime and the Autobots.

Generally known as the Cybertronian God of Darkness and Chaos, Chaos Bringer and Universal Dominator, the transformer Unicron’s genuine goal had been to have the Autobots out of his way. The evil, powerful Constructicons are capable of forming a six-piece super robot named Devastator, keeping step with the action figures from the 1980s. Decepticons are not the only Transformers figures capable of combining to form super-transformers. Fans of the 1980s television show will remember the Dinobots, Autobots with the personalities and shapes of dinosaurs popular with children even to this day. A figure of the Dinobot leader, Grimlock, can sell for as much as Optimus Prime or Megatron.

With the transforming of the franchise, Hasbro and film makers have plenty of material to choose from since there are a lot of Autobots and Decepticons which have yet to debut with a new younger audience. As of today, the Transformers movies have not introduced the famous Dinobots. Could we see them find thier way into the story soon?
